DidiPop: Great Kids Music

"What time is it? Let me see. Is it 2:15 or quarter to three?

I don't know, I don't care, as long as I'm with you somewhere"

----from "Monday" by DidiPop

DidiPop's mission: To make great music for your kids (2-7). DidiPop music aims to teach, entertain and inspire. Most of all, the songs lift children's spirits and imaginations way up high. My songs have passed the test of my daughters (now 5 and 7), and they set the barre HIGH. I make sure they laugh, that they get it, that there is fun alliteration, good rhyming and quirky interesting stories that kids relate to. My producer Brad Jones and I work together to make the music sparkle with love and energy. We love making DidiPop Music for your children. The perfect song, heard at the right time, can change a life.

A BIT ABOUT ME

My name is Deborah Poppink and sometimes Deborah Poppink Hirshland, and mostly, "mom". DidiPop is my kids' music name because it's fun to say, write and sing. The Beatles are my inspiration, and I was raised on pop radio from the 60s and 70s and musical theater. I started playing piano when I was 3, guitar at 9 and songwriting at 17. My mom says I sang the day I was born. I've always loved great music, a catchy chorus and interesting story.

When I graduated from U.C. Berkeley with a social science and music degree, I taught at Los Angeles Unifed School District. From there I began teaching music and became known as "Piano teacher to the Stars' Kids". At the same time, I wrote songs (placing them on TV shows) and played around L.A. with my 5 bands. Then I got married to my music publisher, we had kids and my lovely angel girls came into my life. Teaching, opening doors and inspiring is what I hope to do for them and for your kids too.

The Cool Alphabet Song, my first viral hit, is fast approaching 3 million views!
